Tori Spelling’s Family Day Out
An Hour Full of Dogs Today on Oprah
Oprah’s show today was all about the dogs. I meant to post this in the morning so everyone could watch it. Hope you have Tivo if you missed it, OR, let me try to give you the dog treats (so to speak).

Oprah had her dog trainer, Tamar Geller on the show who believes in teaching every dog manners.

Like helping Oprah teach her dogs the art of “no jumping”!

That wasn’t all that happened. Oprah also decided to visit a few celebrity dog lovers like herself. When she visited the set of Desperate Housewives, she fell in love with actress Nicollette Sheridan’s white golden retriever, Oliver.

But that’s not Nicolette’s only dog (and YEA!!!! we now finally know who the other little dog is she’s sometimes seen with!) She also has Little Fatty Princess, a cross between a bearded collie and a terrier. “She’s quite regal,” Nicollette said and also added that Oliver and Little Fatty Princess are like her children.
They’ve always been a source of comfort and love. I’d have to say are probably responsible for my sanity. I couldn’t imagine life without them. Animals have just always been so important to me and they bring so much. They really fill your life if you let them.
Then Tori and Dean made an appearance:

After Tori Spelling gave birth to her first son, Liam Aaron McDermott, her family was up to four “children.” Tori’s husband, Dean McDermott, says 1-month-old Liam is “our furless baby.”
Our family is three parts fur, one part skin,” Dean says. “Three of them are barkers, and one’s a pooper.”

Tori’s first dog was Mimi La Rue, a pug. After Tori started working with the Much Loved Animal Rescue, she was compelled to rescue her second dog, Ferris.
I’ve seen what it’s like seeing those faces at the pound and knowing there’s just not room enough to put all of them. It just breaks your heart.”
Then, Dean and Tori rescued Chiquita together. Tori says she’s excited for her son Liam to grow up with animals.
I always had pets growing up and it made a huge difference,” she says. “I’m excited for him to have little furry friends around that he can love and they’ll love him. Everyone told me, because I was so crazy and obsessed with Mimi, they said, ‘Once you have a child, you’ll realize that a dog is just a dog.’ And now that I have a child, I mean, there’s no other love like the love I feel for my child, but [Mimi] is still not a dog. I still think of her as my second baby.”

Mimi Says: Sweet Dreams Liam

Little Liam snuggles up to the family’s pug, Mimi LaRue, but mom Spelling says shes still hesitant to let her baby around others. “I’m going to try not to be overprotective, but I am already concerned with people holding him,” the actress explains.

Tori Spelling’s Dogs Scare the Baby

Tori Spelling has hired a dog trainer to stop her pets frightening her newborn baby.
The former Beverly Hills 90210 star gave birth to her first child, Liam Aaron McDermott, on March 13, but was worried her two new Chihuahuas would prevent her home from being a calm environment for a baby.
A source told the National Enquirer magazine: “The rescue pooches had a barking problem and she didn’t want them scaring Liam.
“Tori is also making sure she lavishes plenty of love and attention on her critters so they won’t be jealous when the baby arrives.
“And she’s bought them loads of toys to make sure they’ll have plenty to play with.”
Tori says giving birth was “the most amazing experience” of her life.
The 33-year-old revealed:
I might be a biased mommy, but he is so beautiful. I just stare at him in amazement. I can’t believe I have been given this unbelievable little gift. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. He is my little angel baby. My heart is jumping out of my chest with love. Motherhood ROCKS!”
