Actress Taryn Manning fell in love at first sight when she spied a Maltese-Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix pup on her way to lunch with her boyfriend.

The boyfriend’s history, but little “Penguin” stuck around for the long haul; helping Taryn get through the breakup.  Taryn says she loves having a small dog because she’s so easy to take everywhere and that she’s very well-behaved.

Lucky for Penguin, because her mistress is one busy lady! Taryn has 4 completed films under her belt for 2009, 3 more in post-production and one in production now!

Taryn Manning and her Toy, Speakers

We had heard Taryn Manning had a toy Yorkie named Speakers, but we’ve been unsuccessful at finding pictures… UNTIL TODAY!

Leave it to one of our favorite celebrity pet outlets, Stars and their Pets by Christopher Ameruoso in In Touch Weekly to come through. This picture is from 2004 and it rocks! Manning named her dog Speakers because of his gigantic ears on his little 5 lb. body :)
