Without knowing it, the revival of Sylvester Stallone‘s career helped to also revive the adoption of Philadelphia’s older dogs. These senior dogs in Philadelphia once deemed undesirable, are being adopted.
Rocky rescued an old unwanted dog from the pound he named Punchy in the movie, and the loyal dog ran along with him on his workouts. Apparently Punchy made such a good impression that Philadelphia pounds are reporting that adoption of older dogs has gone up 60% and they credit the movie, Rocky Balboa.
