Rachael Ray Is Honored!

This year, North Shore Animal League America honored daytime host and best-selling author Rachael Ray with the President’s Award for Humanitarian Excellence at the 8th Annual Lewyt Humane Awards Luncheon on June 3.
The event, sponsored by Simply Fido, which brings us organic pet toys from Hosung which Rachael and Beth Otrosky-Stern are pictured above with “Wally the Bear”; was hosted by Fox Network personalities, Mike Jerrick and Juliet Huddy from “The Morning Show With Mike and Juliet” and Beth Otrosky-Stern was closeby to lend a hand!
Rachael’s devotion to her own dog, Isaboo, her championing of the often unfairly maligned pit bull breeds and her support of shelter and rescue groups has brought attention to the plight of homeless animals. Nutrish, Rachael’s pet food company, has generously supported the Animal League in helping us save the lives of countless pets.
That girl can do more than cook! We love you Rach! Thanks for all you do for the animals!

Television is Going to the Dogs
Today was a good day for television viewing for dog lovers~ The Martha Stewart Show devoted an entire episode to dogs: care, fashion, do-it-yourself projects, food and toys for our best friends; and Rachael Ray’s segment today featured Jay Mohr and his wife Nikki Cox, who brought along her super-cute ”teacup” Yorkie (of course we know there’s no such thing as a “teacup yorkie”, but using her description here).
