Emails are coming in that Fall out Boy’s Pete Wentz bought girlfriend Ashlee Simpson a puppy for Christmas - we’re trying to get confirmation now but with the holidays… ehhhhhhhhhhhhh we won’t hear back soon most likely.

When asked the question by the Daily Intelligencer “what would you do” at the premiere of I Am Legend in Madison Square Garden, Pete Wentz had the following to say:

“From the preview, it looks like he’s got his dog in the movie. And that’s not really like being alone. That’s like … a dog buddy flick, you know.”

And Wentz never quite feels alone with his English bulldog, Hemingway, around.

He looks like an alien. He looks like Stitch, and he behaves like Stitch, actually. Prime mission: to destroy everything I have in my house. He’s like, is this an antique book? Delicious!”

…so much, his new clothing line even features Hemingway on one of his T-shirts! Recently, Wentz was even seen out with Ashlee Simpson sporting his favorite canine.

With everyone and their brother becoming fashion designers these days, it will be interesting to see how well his clothing line does. With such an amazing muse for inspiration though, I don’t see how he can go wrong!

Is that Hem? Doesn’t look like a bulldog to us but what do we know? Pete Wentz and his girl, Ashlee Simpson went on a shopping excursion in West Hollywood on August 31st.

Both musicians have a busy autumn planned: Simpson’s new album drops in November and the Fall Out Boy bassist will head to Australia with his band at the end of the month.
