Nope, she didn’t get a new pup but it’s being reported that Paula Abul’s new beau, restaurateur J.T. Torregiani is getting to know the four dogs that she does have.

Us magazine reports that Abul’s new man seems to have won over her trusted inner circle of canines who often join them on hikes near her L.A. home. A source said:

When you’ve got a hot-ass laptop on your legs 12 hours out of the day to blog, TIVO is a godsend or we’d never be able to stay on top of our favorite shows. The downside of TIVO however is, why watch the commercials? And let me tell you, we don’t, so it’s because of this handy/evil feature we almost forgot Paula Abdul’s reality show, Hey Paula is due to debut the 28th of this month on the TV network Bravo.

We just happened to be up late and caught a commercial and we’re of course thrilled to see her four dogs get some “fur time” in the introductory peek.

I have to say, I’m already hooked! This show is gonna be wacky, wonderful and we can’t wait to see those little legs running all over the place.

Oh yes, and the legs of the dog too!

Paula Abdul has spoken out for the first time since breaking her nose in a weekend fall, revealing she also fractured her toe. The clumsy American Idol judge tripped over her pet Chihuahua, Tulip, at home on Sunday and is now nursing a series of bumps, bruises and breaks.

She tells the news show Extra:

I took a nasty fall… trying not to hurt my dog… I tore cartilage… I bruised myself on my arm, that’s nothing… my chest, my waist all the way down to my hip. All from my little chubby Tulip. I saw her… I just remember saying, ‘Oh my God, I’m going to do a face plant!’ It hurt so bad!”

“I screamed like a little baby would scream. I fractured my toe as well.” But brave Abdul won’t be sitting out of the Idol finale tonight and tomorrow. Fellow judge Simon Cowell says, “We’ll have a huge bowl of ice just to make sure the swelling isn’t too bad.”

A spokesperson for Paula Abdul confirmed to Extra that over the weekend, Abdul tripped trying to avoid her Chihuahua, Tulip.

As a result of the fall, the American Idol judge broke her nose.

The spokesperson told Extra that contrary to reports, Paula was not hospitalized.

Paula has four long haired Chihuahuas named: Thumbelina, Tulip, Bessie Moo and Chomps.
