The Riches actress, Minnie Driver and Last Chance for Animals President Chris DeRose spoke on Thursday March 20th at a press conference to help locate an animal predator. Driver brought her dog, Bubba with her.

On February 11, “Hambone,” a gentle, submissive pit bull mix, was stolen from outside the 7-11 store at the corner of Cahuenga and Yucca in Hollywood, California. He was stolen by two men driving a faded green work van with “W2″ painted in big black letters on the driver’s side. Others in the area have reported lost or stolen dogs as well. People have been asked to come forward if they have seen this van; a $10,000 reward is being offered for the safe return of Hambone.

Pet guardians need to be aware of this animal predator and that their dog could be next. Each year, thousands of pets are stolen in the Los Angeles area. This is an “Amber Alert” for dogs and their guardians.

During Wednesday’s launch of her new fragrance, Fabulosity, it was a rare light-hearted moment for Kimora Lee Simmons, who was mourning the recent death of her 18-year-old dog, Zoe. She took to the podium at the press junket behind schedule not looking like herself and explained the delay due to a death in the family.

She shared with People magazine:

“You have to … grieve,” she said. “It’s okay to take time and say this meant something to my life and [to] honor it.”

In fact, in typical Kimora style, she may find a way to honor Zoe with bling.

“There is a company that makes diamonds out of your loved ones,” she said. “[They] make diamonds from a little of the carbon from the ash, so I might do that. I might turn her into a diamond.”

Yesterday we showed you photos of Christina Ricci with a dog that we had never seen before that had us suspecting Ricci got a new pup.

Turns out, our suspicions were right, Christina’s new dog is named Ramon and she was spotted at JFK yesterday showing him off all spiffied up in an argyle sweater Can he get any cuter?

OK we’re trying to get better at determining dog breeds but help us out a little bit more. This is a French bulldog right?

Florence Henderson, 74, the well-known Brady Bunch actress revealed that her daughter’s pet pooch named Apple is missing when she broke down in tears on the set of The Insider to make a desperate plea.

Along with hiring a private investigator and taking out ads in papers, she is is now asking for the public’s help. The four-year-old, black poodle mix weighs less than six pounds and is one of the volunteer dogs for Love On 4 Paws.

Miranda, Paulina Rubio’s loveable dog, passed away from pulmonary infection on Dec. 24th. The Pomeranian spent 12 years at the side of the 36-year-old Mexican singer.
