On Saturday, January 9th, Kelly Brook and her pet pug, Rocky, leave the Noel Coward Theater in London, following her final performance in the stage adaptation of “Calendar Girls”. The pedigree pooch was the 30-year-old model-turned-actress’s Christmas present from her rugby-playing boyfriend, Danny Cipriani.

Cynics would say that a maltipoo snatched by a hungry coyote on Monday probably wouldn’t be alive on Thursday, but Jessica Simpson isn’t giving up hope of seeing her beloved Daisy again.

“Still holding out hope despite the a–holes that say is it a dumb thing to do. Daisy is my baby … why would I stop searching? I’m a mom,” she wrote on Twitter Wednesday night.

A wire-haired dachshund that held the record as the world’s oldest dog and celebrated its last birthday with a party at a dog hotel and spa has died at age 21 — or 147 in dog years.

The dog, named Chanel, died Friday of natural causes at her owners’ home in suburban Port Jefferson Station, on Long Island.

Chanel, as stylish as her legendary namesake, wore tinted goggles for her cataracts in her later years and favored sweaters because she was sensitive to the cold, owners Denice and Karl Shaughnessy said Monday.

Today must be Chihuahua Day for some reason!

The LA Times has reported that the Taco Bell dog, Gidget  the Chihuahua, the sassy mascot for the fast food chain from 1997-2000, has died at age 15 years of age.

The owner of Studio Animal Services in Castaic, CA say that Gidget suffered a massive stroke late Tuesday at the home of her trainer in Santa Clarita, CA and had to be euthanized.

Awww, how sad! Gidget also had a pivotal role in “Legally Blonde” with Reese Witherspoon. 

Rest in peace, little pup!  Our condolences  go out to Gidget’s handlers and trainer.

Sad news in Los Angeles today. Last night, Ozzy Osbourne’s dog, Little Bit was killed by coyotes. Ozzy, pictured above with one of the family’s dogs was very upset.

  Daughter Kelly Osbourne says her dad is devastated and that Little Bit was “his other woman”.  How sad!

 This isn’t the first time the Osbournes have had issues with the coyotes. In 2003, Ozzy rescued Pomeranian Pipi in their garden at their Beverly Hills home, fighting the wild dog and wrestling Pipi from it’s jaws! Pipi was fine after surgery.

Unfortunately, this is a common occurance in the Hollywood hills; coyotes abound there and most people know to keep their small pets indoors after dark. Of course, dogs do need to go out every now and then.

 It’s sad, but you really have to be vigilant; those coyotes are so quiet until they attack.
