Cast of ‘The Game Plan’ at World Premiere

    The Game Plan Cast

    Spike the Bulldog

At the El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles this past weekend, the cast of The Game Plan walked the red carpet for the world premiere including Spike, the bulldog, who took center stage in a bed custom-made to look like a football stadium. We love it!

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson plays quarterback Joe Kingman who has been living the ultimate bachelor fantasy: he’s cool, rich, famous and the life of every party but his dream is suddenly sacked when he discovers Peyton, (Madison Pettis), the 8-year-old daughter he never knew existed. Now, just as his career is soaring, Joe must learn to juggle his old lifestyle of parties, practices and dates with super models while tackling the new challenges of ballet, bedtime stories and baby dolls.

Kyra Sedgwick and Roselyn Sanchez are both apart of the cast with Sedgwick playing the role of the sports agent and Sanchez acting as the ballet teacher and eventual love interest to Johnson.

In theaters September 28th, who’s going??? Keep reading for more pictures…

Update 9/25: Spike’s real name is Tubbs!

Greg Kinnear Picks Out Pooch for Movie

    Greg Kinnear

Actor Greg Kinnear felt like he was judging a dog show when he had to pick the springer spaniel who looked most like him for his new film role in Feast of Love. The As Good As It Gets star’s character has a doggie look-alike and Kinnear was called upon to cast the canine co-star.

Here’s what he had to say about the experience:

I was brought into a room with the director and there were seven dogs. I understood why this was important - it’s a big part of the movie with my character, Bradley, and his dog, Bradley, Jr - but I didn’t think I’d be picking out the dog. The director, Robert Benton, brings me into this room and says, ‘OK, which one’s Bradley? Which one looks like you?’ I had a fairly good relationship with my movie pooch until he crapped in my trailer.”

The ‘Bratz’ Girls Have a Love for Dogs

    The Bratz

Even if you’re not a fan of the Bratz dolls and their belly-baring outfits and hooker pumps, the four cute girls who play the characters in the silver screen version of the cult-phenom might win you over with their love of dogs.

When asked this question: Given the role of the dog in the movie, do you have a favourite animal or a dream pet?

    The four answered separately:

Logan Browning: I love dogs. As for dream pets, I’d love to have a small cat [pauses and laughs]. What I mean by that is a wildcat!

Skyler Shaye: I love dogs. I have a little peekachoo at home. I also love horses. At one point, I had seven dogs. Eventually we had to give one to our friends.

Janel Parrish: I love dogs. I have a golden retriever but if I could have my way I’d have every single species of dog in my house. My dad said “no”. But my dream animal to own would be a little koala bear.

Nathalia Ramos: I love pigs. I like little fat, ugly animals! And my absolute dream pet would be an English bulldog. But I do like little pigs, especially warthogs – you know Pumbaa in The Lion King?

Bratz, the movie, is playing now, view the official website for more info about the cast, crew and to see a trailer.

Emma Roberts to Star in ‘Hotel for Dogs’

    Emma Roberts

Emma Roberts, last seen in the big screen film, Nancy Drew and Hollywood’s latest rising starlet, has just signed on to star in the live-action canine flick Hotel for Dogs. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is an adaptation of Lois Duncan’s popular novel.

The story follows two orphaned teenagers who start hiding a bunch of dogs in a rundown hotel and will be released in early 2009.

Auntie, Julia must be so proud!

Extra info: Her dad, Eric Roberts, is in one of my all-time favorite movies, The Pope of Greenwich Village. This movie is probably wayyyyyyy before your time for some of you, but worth watching!
