Love Actually star Kris Marshall is to appear in a new feature-length romantic comedy set in the world of dog shows.
If you saw the movie, you’ll remember Kris as “Colin”, who heads to America to find love in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His rationale for crossing the Atlantic to find love is because, in his estimation, the United States are filled to the brim with gorgeous women who will fall head over heels for him because of his “cute British accent” (“Over there, I’m Prince William… without the weird family.”)
The 34-year-old will be joined by Georgia MacKenzie (Murphy’s Law) Catwalk Dogs, which begins shooting this month.
Kris will play Michael, who together with Georgia’s character Sally is struggling to come to terms with a miscarriage. Michael buys a fox terrier to help fill the void, but Sally leaves him and moves in with another man and his formidable dog-breeding mother Mrs Jessop, played by Diana Quick.
Having lost his job and self-respect, Michael and members of a local dog club devise a plan to help him get Sally back.
