Daytime TV personality Kelly Ripa and her hubby Mark Consuelos were actually taking some time off to spend with their 3 kids, Lola, Michael and Joaquin, and Mark’s parents while they’re visiting in NYC! And no family outing would be complete without Chewie, the “world’s largest Lhasa” according to Kelly!
The group spent the day yesterday April 26, Â lunching at PJ Clarke’s at the World Financial Center and then they were off to a local playground. Looks like a gorgeous day in NYC!

Update: 8/20: Just got a photo, you can barely see “Chewy‘s” face but Kelly is all smiles. Her kids must be THRILLED!
Original Post: 8/10: We just got a tip that Kelly has adopted a shih-tzu from the North Shore Animal League in New York. Word has it, straight from Kelly‘s mouth on the show today, they don’t have a name for the dog yet and we’re unsure of the sex just yet.
Just a few weeks ago when Katharine McPhee was on Regis & Kelly and talked about her new dog, Larry, Kelly offered dog-sitting services and admitted her kids wanted a dog. Looks like they got one!

Update 8/20: We just read that this is not the official name of Kelly’s dog but rather the name her three kids call the dog for now. They should keep it, it’s cute!
