The folks at Romy & Jacob had a hard time picking their winner for the first installment of their summer giveaway but it was a puggly wuggly puppy named Fabio who nestled himself in their memory and wouldn’t let go.

Meet Fabio, a three month old puggle who we think you’ll agree is irresistible. We’re smitten with him too and can’t wait to see Fabio sporting his summer parka.

Well folks, the auction is over and it ended at a price a lot lower than the extreme 1.5M+ that caused such a clamor a few days ago. With the high bidder having zero for feedback, we can’t help but wonder if one more person got in on the previous fun and placed a high bid of $305 they might not shell out for the can.

In any event, the auction might be over but the fun is just beginning. We’ve talked to the nice people over at Party Animal and they’ve agreed to do a giveaway to 200 people.

That’s right, two hundred of you celebrity-dog-lovin’-readers can win a can of each flavor (there’s chicken and turkey) and we’re not talking empty cans either.

In case you haven’t guessed by now, we love dogs and oh yeah, celebrities too which is why the movie, “Year of the Dog” meshes quite well with all that we do.

Year of the Dog, the directorial debut for Mike White, will be in theaters beginning April 13, 2007 on limited release and will be rolling out nationwide beginning May 4, 2007.
