LA Ink’s Pixie Acia Talks to Celebrity Dog Watcher

We’ve been dying to share these photos and interview with you all and the day is finally here! The very hot Pixie Acia from LA Ink was kind enough to talk to us about two of her favorite things, her pit bulls, Cupcake and Chopper.
She’s a real dog lover and shared some remarkable stuff, including a rescue program she’s very
involved with that we’ll be seeing on a future episode and a peek into the life of her very special dog, Booger, who passed away almost two years ago.
And guys, sorry, but she’s got a boyfriend. A guy can still dream though I guess
Read away and enjoy, we sure did!
CDW: Tell us about your dogs, are you a dog lover?
I have been a HUGE dog lover my whole life… I currently have two of the cutest pit bull girls in the world! Cupcake… she is my heart, I adopted her about 2 1/2 years ago from Karma Rescue, right here in Los Angeles. She was just a baby. She loves to play ball and loves even more when I bite on the side of her face!! Chopper…. she is my soul, my boyfriend rescued her from the streets of Hollywood when she was just a tiny peanut almost 2 years ago. She loves to chase Cupcake, chase the ball and loves to pull me on the skateboard. They live together in perfect harmony with my cat, Monkey! They fill our house with so much love!
CDW: Do you have any goals or aspirations in terms of working with dogs or being around them more?
One of my passions is to someday open my own rescue group for homeless pit bulls. My favorite groups are Villa Lobos Pitbull Rescue and Karma Rescue and they’re both right here in Los Angeles…. I will even be appearing at Villa Lobos in an upcoming episode of LA Ink… I hope to bring a lot of attention to the sweet and innocent dogs who have been living without a family for so long.
CDW: Who’s the third dog in the last picture?
The big white dog is my old dog who passed away almost two years ago. He was harder to lose than some humans. He was the most amazing man that ever lived. He was such a good boy and really spoke to you with his eyes and body language. If you look back in every photo you see you know exactly what he is thinking at that time. The kindest most noble man that ever lived was our beloved Booger. We miss him so much it’s hard to even say his name.

CDW Interview: Tillamook Cheddar by way of Bowman Hastie

Last month we did a post, article, story, whatever you wanna call these things, about a dog with an amazing talent of creating her own artwork, traveling to her own shows and selling the goods. We were so in awe, we felt inclined to do our usual prying to get more info and boy did we get the poop, err scoop. No, actually we did get the poop on Tillamook Cheddar… continue reading for the full interview.
CDW Interview: Christopher Ameruoso and Stella Blue

Since I’m always on the hunt for celebrity dog news, I’ve been running across the work of one person more than I can count. His name, Christopher Ameruoso and he’s known not just for being a damn good photographer but for being the go-to photographer when it comes to celebrities and their pets.
It prompted me to want to know more about him and the peculiar looking dog he’s always seen holding. I reached out to Chris and was honored he’d give little old me and my blog an opportunity to put him in the spotlight. He even gave me his phone number so we could chat (which probably wasn’t a wise idea Chris, I have your number on speed dial now).
What you’ll read below is the biggest thing that’s happened to CDW since we began. I am humbled and honored because I truly love his work. He was down-to-earth and a real sweetheart!
It’s all about the Cookie - Interview with Celebrity Chef Bethenny Frankel

You might remember her as the runner-up from Martha Stewart’s short-lived reality show, The Apprentice but Bethenny Frankel was already on her way to being a winner.
While looking through pics of celebrities at Park City, we spotted a familiar face and it was Bethenny holding the absolutely scrumptious looking dog you see above, Cookie. Bethenny was kind enough to take time out of her busy schedule to give us an interview. She immediately told us “Cookie is my life” when asked. Read below!
CDW: Hi Bethenny! I did a double-take when I saw pics of you with Cookie at Park City. What were you there for?
Cookie is with me in Park City because I’m hosting ChefDance- a ten day culinary event and I didn’t want her to miss the snow or be away from me for 2 weeks.”
CDW: What kind of dog is Cookie, she’s absolutely adorable and how did she take to the snow? How did you come to be her mom?
She’s a Lhasa mix. She loves the snow. Her goal in life is to be included so she’s good with everything. I got her at a mutt puppy store in Chicago. She was the “ugly duckling”, the different one of the litter so she was only 150 bucks but the cutest to me.”
CDW: Well she’s certainly not an ugly duckling now, she is so cute! Being a chef, do you make her special doggie treats at all?
There is always such good food around and I feel guilty restricting her to dog food but I’ve been told that they live longer if you keep them on dog food. That being said, I give her some meat or brown rice on occasion.”
CDW: I’m guilty of that too, I have Labs and they like carrots! Some people might remember you as the runner-up on the Martha Stewart Apprentice reality show but it looks like your career was already well on its way. Tell us about your website BethennyBakes.com and what a natural food chef is.
My specialty is healthy cooking, helping celebs stay in shape, losing baby weight, etc. I cook for private dinners, events and I do custom meals delivered to homes and sets.
My goal is to democratize health and use my “celeb tips” for people who can’t afford a private chef but I am more of a chef/host/personality than simply a chef. I’m also a “health foodie” because gourmet food and restaurants fitting into a balanced lifestyle are what’s important. People won’t stick to a rigid unrealistic diet.”
CDW: It sounds like fun and definitely something I need to do (as I chug back my Coke Zero and donut). I read on your site you worked with Brooke Hogan for a piece in People magazine. What was the piece about and when does the issue come out so we can look for you?
People.com is the Brooke Hogan thing. I do a celeb diary for them.”
CDW: Thanks for taking the time to talk to us, we loved you on the show - last questions about Cookie, how old is she and where does she sleep?
She’s 7 and she sleeps with me. She’s never more than 2 ft away.”
You can view a tiny clip of Bethenny with Cookie at the end of the ChefDance video at People.com.
