Kate Bosworth’s Dog, Lila, Bite’s Co-Star

X17 is reporting that actress Kate Bosworth of the newly released movie, 21, hosted a party this past Saturday in celebration of the movie’s #1 spot at the box office.
Apparently Lila, bit her co-star Aaron Yoo in the face at the party and Aaron had to go to the hospital to receive stitches.
Ouch! We hope he’s OK!
Dogs Found Buried at DMX Home had Wounds
Two dogs found buried at a home belonging to DMX (whose real name is Earl Simmons) had serious wounds, said authorities investigating animal neglect allegations.
One of the dogs had serious bite wounds and another had trauma to its abdomen, but exact causes of death were not determined, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said Saturday. A third dog carcass had been burned so badly an exam was inconclusive.
The remains were dug up on Aug. 24, when sheriff’s investigators probing allegations of animal neglect raided the rapper’s home in north Phoenix.
Authorities also seized 12 live pit bulls, numerous weapons, and about a quarter-ounce of marijuana in a bedroom, Arpaio said. The sheriff initially said a half-pound of suspected narcotics was found, but tests showed the substance was not illegal drugs.
No charges had been filed against the rapper or anyone else, but Arpaio said that may change.
“Someone’s going to have to pay for this,” the sheriff said. “We have 12 dogs who were abused and three dogs buried in the yard _ someone’s going to have to pay.”
A lawyer for the 36-year-old rapper, has said DMX was not at the home during the raid, hadn’t been there for months and was paying caretakers and veterinarians to care for his animals.
Murray Richman on Saturday questioned how the sheriff could connect his client to any alleged animal abuse.
“How do you attribute activities to a person who has not been there, when they have knowledge that other persons have been,” Richman said. “Is it because of the celebrity nature?”

Jessica Biel’s Publicist Responds to Rumors
After the hype last week over the rumor of Jessica Biel’s dog Tina possibly killing the much younger pit bull, Tevy (we’ve been incorrectly calling the dog Tavy all this time!), we reached out to Biel’s publicist and EUREKA! We just received a very nice email from her which we’re quoting below:
Thank you for contacting us, the story you have posted is not accurate. Tevy was Jessica’s younger dog that she adopted over six months ago. Last month Tevy suffered an unfortunate accident when she was playing with a group of dogs. No one was around to witness exactly what happened, and sadly she died later that day at a veterinary hospital.
From one dog lover to another, we thank you for your concern and for thinking of her during this difficult time.
So there you have it and while we don’t know the exact details anymore than you do, what we assume here at CDW, knowing from what we’ve only witnessed in photos, Jessica looks like an extremely dedicated pet owner. It’s hard to imagine she would have put Tevy in a harmful situation intentionally and certainly, if she thought Tina had any ill-temperaments toward Tevy she would have known before now and would not have left Tevy alone if such nature had been noticed.
All we can say is how sad we feel for Tina, Jessica and of course little Tevy.
RUMOR ALERT: Jessica Biel’s Deadly Dog
True or not? We’re not sure but Lainey Gossip has a “blind item” about a celebrity who has two “fierce breeds” that are the same.
The post suggests that one dog killed the other and if this is about Jess, and with recent posts we’ve shared of Jessica with Tina only, we’d have to assume it was Tavy that was killed off.
Horrible to think of and hard to believe since people who really know the true temperament of pits know they are not fierce until taught to be.
Hopefully we can get an answer from her publicist as good as he or she might be, we’re hoping to confirm this and hoping it’s not true of course.
Update 9/18 - We received a response from Jessica’s publicist - read it here and find out what REALLY happened.
Thanks goes out to so many of you who emailed us the link - we can’t reply to each and every one of you, but every email was appreciated!
Ving Rhames: His Dogs are all Bark, No Bite

Us magazine reported the following:
Los Angeles animal services were spotted taking four mastiffs away from Ving Rhames‘ Brentwood home Friday morning after the attack on a 40 year old man, Jacob Adams, the caretaker of Rhames’ property and dogs.
The actor has long been fond of the breed, which are often used as guard dogs.
In a 1999 interview with the Los Angeles Times, the Pulp Fiction star showed off his “petrifying” Ambullneo mastiff named Samson and his three mastiff puppies — Storm, Scorsese and Cage (the latter two were named after director Martin Scorsese and actor Nicolas Cage, with whom Rhames worked on the film Bringing Out the Dead).
He also talked about his 170-pound Fila Brasileiro named Kong.
“The dog was actually bred to guard slaves,” Rhames said. “It was the only dog they found that had the temperament to guard a slave. It could be around you every day, but if you tried to run away, it would deal with you like it never saw you before.”
The Times reporter joked, “Just as you are thinking how helpful this will be to the forensic specialists, he pulls the dog away with his free hand before it can playfully disembowel you.”
During the interview, Rhames lavished his canines with attention, at times speaking to them in baby talk.
Still, despite their intimidating appearance, Rhames insisted that his dogs were all bark no bite. “He just wants to play,” Rhames said of Kong.
In a 2001 interview with Time magazine, the actor admitted that he tests out his characters on his dogs to make sure that he’s completely embodied a character.
“Once I’m close to that transformation, then I do it for my dogs - because dogs know when something’s not right,” Rhames points out. “I figure if I can fool them, then I’ve successfully changed my spirit.”
While preparing for the role of Don King in the television movie Don King: Only in America (for which he won a Golden Globe award), Rhames adopted the boxing promoters’ speech patterns and mannerisms and tried out the character on his pets.
I changed my voice, my diction, my movement - and then I tested it on the dogs. The dogs started growling at me. That’s a true story.
An autopsy is pending to determine if the man died of heart failure.
There’s been some discrepencies on the breed of dogs that were found on the property. We’ve also read that there were 3 mastiff’s and one bulldog. We’ll follow-up with the definite breeds soon.
