Through a divorce and several messy breakups, the one constant in Jessica Simpson‘s life has been her beloved malti-poo Daisy. But the singer is devastated because her precious pup was snatched by a coyote.
“My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes,” Jessica tweeted on Monday. “HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help!”
Despite being taken by the wild animal, Jessica is still holding out hope that Daisy is alive, uploading a poster with information about the caramel colored canine on Twitter.
The dog was a gift to Jess in 2004 from her then-husband Nick Lachey. She named the pooch Daisy after the role she was playing in Dukes of Hazzard. Since then, Jess is often seen traveling with the dog, often toting her in a chic Louis Vuitton carrier.
“She goes with me everywhere,” Jessica has said. “It’s preparing me to be a mother, I think.” – so sad.
