Groomer Has It is definitely sniffing out the weakest competitors! There are 7 groomers left and the claws are becoming obviously sharpened.

This week minus Jessica, and after Marco felt he’d been “thrown under the bus” particularly by Cassandra during the final evaluation of their team last week, it was apparent that Marco and Cassandra are going to be at odds with each other. We’ll stand back and watch the fur fly!

This week, the groomer’s Quick Sniff Challenge was to utilize yarn dogs to instruct children to groom a dog. The challenge was really how well they were able to relate to others and their ability to communicate and teach.  All of the groomers and students really did a pretty good job, but Bill and his student were proclaimed the winners of the challenge!

For his win, Bill was told he could choose one of the other groomers with whom he got to go on a bowling excursion. Bill was super-excited about this, because he’s a “300″ bowler (with a ring to prove it!), and he selected Danielle to accompany him. Danielle was underwhelmed with the entire bowling experience, but they returned to the Dog House with pictures to commemorate their victory spoils!

While Bill and Danielle were out having fun, the remaining groomers stayed at the Dog House and groomed the ever- adorable Yorkie, Nemo the Messenger Dog! They did a great job and Nemo looked über-cute and refreshed when they were finished.

For the Grooming (Elimination) challenge, the groomers were presented with “senior citizen” dogs; mature dogs who needed a “facelift” so to speak.  The challenge was to give them a cut that would make them look more youthful and give the dog better mobility, while keeping in mind during the  grooming , the  dog’s comfort and age-related issues as far as touch and tolerance went.  Super-model pioneer and dog lover, Janice Dickinson; who should know more than almost anybody about youth-enhancing procedures, was the guest judge for this challenge!

Bill, having won the Quick Sniff Challenge, of course, got a “leg-up” reward, which Jai said he would tell him about halfway through the 2 hour time limit for the Grooming Challenge. That turned out to be immunity for this week! What a GIFT!!!

The groomers all worked really hard on their dogs and seemed to be very conscious of their dog’s comfort. At the “tools down” command, they all looked pretty pleased with their results.

Lisa and Marco were deemed safe immediately for their work, and Hubert and Danielle were the Top 2, with Hubert winning Best In Show for his groom on “Jeter” an 8 year old pup!

The judges felt that Bill’s groom was really under par and had he not had immunity, he would have been the groomer to be clipped!!! This is not the first time that Bill’s been in the bottom, but his Quick Sniff win saved him this time!

Her spirit guides seemed to fail her this week, as Vanessa’s groom was said to be not very transforming and it didn’t appear that she had much repoire with her dog. The fact that she basically snubbed Janice Dickinson during the judging comments, when Janice told her “you’ve got an attitude”, didn’t seem to help her cause any!

So, now there are 6!  Who will be able to run with the big dogs on Groomer Has It?

Next week they’ll be working on pigs it looks like! Tune in to see some creative grooming techniques!
