While in Beverly Hills, CA yesterday, Paula Abdul was caught on film by some shutterbugs walking to her car with her dog, Bessie, in hand. She was asked questions about American Idol but she changed the subject and mentioned how her dog’s nails are manicured right before she left in her Land Rover.

A true advocate for animals, Bernadette Peters released her book, entitled Broadway Barks, an appropriate name that derives from a program she’s often involved with alongside Mary Tyler Moore in New York on May 12th.
