Why the costume? Venus, a 20-month-old, English Springer Spaniel, was voted “2008 Mystic Krewe of Kritters Mardi Gras K-9 Queen” and this costume is what she wore while riding in the Alabama parade. She rode on the back of a convertible for 2 hours and was a trooper!
