Former Desperate Housewives eye-candy Jesse Metcalfe is the latest star to join the celebrity trend for pint-sized pooches.

The actor, 29, brought his tiny pet dog on a flight from Los Angeles to San Francisco, where he is expected to begin filming his latest movie The Other End Of The Line.

This is the first time Metcalfe has been spotted with his new dog, who was carefully placed in a special carrying bag for the 90 minute flight. It is believed Jesse bought the dog after his recent split from Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle.
