Pet expert and New York socialite Charlotte Reed, and author of Miss Fido Manners, took time out of her busy day to give Celebrity Dog Watcher her thoughts regarding the speculation that Katharine McPhee’s recent puppy, Larry, might have been the same dog that Britney Spears eyed just 13 days prior.

Without physical, hands on examination, I can’t be 100 percent sure but it does look like the same puppy to me.

The markings appear identical and Reed notes that like people no two puppies are alike. Furthermore, she added:

At least, lucky Larry ended up in a home without divorce wars, terrible two’s, and a growing cast of collectible, make-me-feel-better pets. Then again, is Larry a child substitute for the anxious to be pregnant Mcphee?

On a side note, how much do you love that we called this a “love triangle”? LOL We crack ourselves up!

Well, there have been stranger love triangles in Hollywood. LOL
Was this an article in another blog? Link please?
Anxious to be pregnant? Is that because she’s pregnant in a movie?LOL Katharine may have once said she wants lots of kids but she didn’t say she wanted them now. Hasn’t she had dogs all her life? I don’t think Larry is a child substitute. Just a lucky dog!

May I ask….what breed are we talking about??? I am getting confuse now! Is this the Yorkie?? Is this woman “Charlotte Reed” an expertise in the Yorkshire terrier or any other type of breeds??? Can we ask opinion of more reliable people on the similarity subject?? How about some expert breeder or judge…just a thought! ;) Oooooooooooops I just went to check, that was the Chihuahua, right?

Also, I would like to contest this part. Aren’t we taking about pure-bred animals? For what I know there are certain patent colors that should look alike/similar and/or the same if talking about a well bred pedigreed dog. Isn’t that called “standard of a breed”??? Did this lady confuse a mix dog with a pedigreed one?? Just getting curios and more curios now?? Again, who is she? Is she a specialist of that particular breed? Did she study the standard of the breed of that specific breed? For what I understand, this lady wrote some type of “well manner” dog book?? This, in my opinion does not make her a specialist of any breed in particular! Sorry Kim, I really do not have anything against this lady however, I believe that this type of statement should be made by other type of authors. Perhaps you should interview authors of speciafic breeds…I can certainly suggest a few very well known! :)

Sorry, for same reason the part that I was contesting did not show up, anyway here it is:

The markings appear identical and Reed notes that like people no two puppies are alike.

      Hey Alessia :)

If you go back to the post and click on the links, you can read Charlotte’s profile, she speaks out on issues regarding animals all the time and is a major go-to as an authority on many breeds by many publications.

Also in the post is a link to the dog we’re referring to, the brown Chihuahua that Katharine McPhee just purchased a while back, Larry! :)

I hope this helps and that we answered all of your questions.

Yes, Kim I made my statement after going to her site and after reading her biography. In my opinion, I did not see anything THAT major that made me thinking she knew the different type of breeds’ standard. Honestly, she does not seem she has studied any of the characteristic of each breed. Yes, there are pictures of her visiting the Westminster dog show. Hey, I went too, three times, I was watching the dog show and took some picture too. I also collect few animal related books and magazines. Just wondering, does it make me a specialist of a particular breed too?? I believe there is so much to say about the many different type of breeds, right? Would it make more sense to ask to a specialist of that particular breed instead? Just a thought. Again Kim, sorry I do not have anything against this poor lady, really! Which BTW seems to be very nice too! :) OK, that’s the end of my comment here, PROMISE! ;)

Hey Alessia you have every right to question your thoughts out loud, by all means, do so :) Don’t ever think you shouldn’t ;)

I think just from a photo, no one is going to be able to make a 100% confirmation on if the dog in both pictures is the same dog, breed expert or not ykwim? I do think Charlotte knows her stuff though and is more than capable of making a comment though. I’m actually going to give her a chance to respond if she so desires. She might have more insight than I can give - all I know is the celebrity and their dog! lol
