First there were concerns Britney Spears was not a good parent, now there are concerns she’s not a good pet owner too?
ABC Eyewitness News has learned that Spears by the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals because of reports her dog is wearing a cast because of a broken leg.
Representatives from the SPCA went to Spears’ Beverly Hills home Friday, but neither Spears or the puppy were there.
They left a message for Spears to call them. The SPCA hopes to resolve the matter quickly.

The fact that she bought this pet from a pet store…much like the rest of young (stupid) Hollywood is the reason she is a bad pet owner. By purchasing that puppy in a store she made room for one more puppy mill dog to be born into horrible conditions.
I would much rather see your blog profile “stars” that support rescue instead of the ones that support puppy mills.
August 25th, 2007 at 5:07 pmHi Dog Works!
We profile all celebs that have dogs including celebs who rescue their pooches like Katherine Heigl, Shannon Elizabeth, Emerson Hart, Sandra Bullock, Orlando Bloom, Sophia Bush and tons more! Just search for “rescue” and I’m sure you’ll find a ton of reading
August 25th, 2007 at 5:36 pmI am not suprised she’s being investigated… I just hope they get answers on what happened to the other dogs she had purchased? Didnt she have a couple chi’s? Where are they…?
August 25th, 2007 at 7:07 pmBethany: If you read this post we wrote before about an interview with Britney’s ex, you can read where all of her previous dogs went.
If you do a search for Kevin Federline, dogs, it’ll show up
I am however, interested in knowing where the last dog, Snow White I think her name is went to. She bought that dog shortly before London but hasn’t been seen in a really long time.
August 25th, 2007 at 9:15 pmDog Works , I understand your feeling, however people should not be pushed and/or obligated to rescue if they do NOT want to! There may be people (celebrities or not) that are looking for a specific breed of dogs and/or to raise a dog from the puppy wood stage. If someone desires to raise a Yorkshire Terrier puppy why should he/she obligated to rescue a mix dog, a chihuahua, a Golden Retriever… for example! It is not that easy to find a Yorky puppy in a rescue organization or at the shelter! I personally have been looking all over to find one Yorkie at a shelter and I did NOT find anything available to adopt! I saw lots of mix dogs, other big breeds, some small breeds yes but senior animals etc… Yes, I support shelters and YES I support responsible breeders. What I do NOT support are pet stores that sell animals. Everybody knows that responsible breeder will NEVER ever sell to a pet store or a broker. Everybody knows that the majority of animals sold in a pet store come from puppy mills or back yard breeders! Bad, bad Britney and all those ignorant individuals that buy animals in pet stores and by doing that, support & promote puppy mills!!! I HATE puppy mills with all my heart!!!
August 27th, 2007 at 1:35 amI can see Alessia’s side too… My local pet shelter always just has Large breed dogs and I couldnt have a large dog in my home due to landlord’s restrictions. I ended up going to a local breeder and found my favorite breed, the rare Brussels Griffon. If your going to buy from breeders, I do believe in making sure its not a “puppy mill”! A good breeder tends to have both parents as their loving family pets (on-site) and has good documentation on their dogs…if they really care they’ll want to stay in touch to see how their dogs “babies” are doing.
