Quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals, Matt Leinart, lands the cover of Animal Fair’s Health/Fitness issue and talks about his two dogs, Max and Hunter.

Matt became smitten with Max, the bulldog, right out of college and bought him at a pet store when he was just five pounds. Even though he has a son with his wife now named Cole, Matt says Max has kind of been like a son to him too.

After his son was born, Matt added a German Shepherd, Hunter, to the clan who he actually named General at first but after a month, and realizing he didn’t really like the name, changed it.

Update: We just read that Matt’s son Cole is by his ex-girlfriend, Brynn Cameron.
