It’s rumored that Catherine Zeta Jones was furious when she learned that her name would inspire a canine character in the movie ‘Snow Cake’.

She ordered her lawyers to to terminate the unflattering tribute immediately. The film, which stars Sigourney Weaver, Carrie-Ann Moss and Alan Rickman was going to feature a dog with Catherine’s name.

An aide for production company Revolution Films says,

“Her lawyers wrote back and said that on no account could her name be used for a dog.”

    Script writer Angela Pell said,

“I liked the idea of naming the dog Catherine Zeta-Jones, because in the film it belongs to a teenage girl, and I felt it was the kind of name a teenage girl might go for. It’s a shame we had to change it — it’s only a story after all.”
