Bill Cosby has been one of TV’s top dogs - and now his dog is top terrier.

Cosby’s canine, Harry, won the popular terrier group at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at Madison Square Garden last night and is one of the favorites to be named Best in Show tonight.

“This is my ‘Boo’!” Cosby’s jubilant daughter Erinn shouted after she hugged the judge and kissed the dog on the mouth.

“It’s stupendous! I am very proud. I’m just so proud.”

Her TV-star dad, who co-owns 6-year-old Harry, was not at the Garden to see the Dandie Dinmont breed of terrier take top prize.

“Mr. Cosby thinks he has bad luck in New York,” the pooch’s handler Bill McFadden said.

But Erinn, 40, said she called her father with the good news last night, coyly adding, “I’m not saying anything about where he’ll be tomorrow.”

Judge Richard Meen called the smoky-colored dog, with a gray mane and a white afro, “The epitome of the breed standard.”

Harry easily won Best of Breed earlier in the day as the lone Dandie Dinmont entrant, but then won the entire terrier group - considered one of the toughest in the show.

Cosby wasn’t the only celebrity who went to the dogs at the Garden yesterday.

Domestic diva Martha Stewart and newspaper heiress Patricia Hearst were both on hand earlier in the day to cheer on Wishbone, a French bulldog.

Westminster is “the No. 1 show,” Hearst said. “The prestige is incomparable. Everybody wants their dog here if they show.”

Both Stewart and Hearst have connections to Wishbone’s handler, Jodi Longmire, who guided the pooch to a Best in Breed win.

But Wishbone got the short end of the stick in last night’s non-sporting group category, losing out to Remy, a standard poodle ranked No. 1 in the world.
