Each year, four million dogs enter shelters or breed rescue organizations and roughly two million do not find a place to call home.

Because of their love of dogs, Pedigree is teaming up with celebrity dog lover and “Grey’s Anatomy” star Katherine Heigl to launch the third annual Pedigree Adoption Drive.

As part of The Pedigree Adoption Drive, Heigl will hold court inside a large dog house set in the middle of Times Square in an effort to raise awareness and generate support for the millions of shelter dogs in this country.

If you’d like to learn more about dog adoption or meet some local New York shelter dogs, join Pedigree at this free event in Times Square today, February 8, from 12:30pm to 2:30pm.

Come to The Pedigree Adoption Drive and show your support of homeless dogs by signing a pledge card. For every pledge card signed the Pedigree brand will make a $1 donation to the American Humane Association.
