The Hogan Family

I knew Terry long ago when we were both very young. We “partied” together, and I encouraged Terry to not partake of substances being passed around. Some young men do things on a dare. He knew better. He was a wise young man, and he cared about his future. I met him many years latter in an airport in Alabama when Linda was pregnant with Brooke. My daughter, Cheri was only about 4 or 5 at the time and Terry picked her up high in the air and asked her what kind of vitimins she took She said something like Bugs Bunny, which was not the answer he wanted to hear since he had his own Hulk Hogan vitimins. We laughed. He invited me for a snack or a drink but I had to go that day…my own family duties called. I wish I could have talked longer with that good family man. I know he loves his wife and children and he has had the good sense to stay away from people who will bring him down, spiritually, morally, ethically and legally That is not easy to do in the wrestling business or any job that deals with fame. So, he is a good guy. All I can say is I watched that young man make the right choices which led him to become the man he is today. I wish I could meet with him again before we are both over the Hill forever. His friend, confidant and muse. Cathy Carter (Dempsey)
